The United States Bowling Congress on Thursday announced that it would be extending the grace period for centers to comply with new lane topography standards while it continues to collect data through the 2019-20 season, and also is doubling the per-lane inspection fee to $10.

The new standards still will take effect Aug. 1, 2019, but USBC is extending the study, certifying centers for the 2019-2020 season provided they have a proper inspection report, all three required signatures are on the report, and the report is submitted to USBC.
