Although bowling is virtually shut down in Dane County due to COVID-19 pandemic mitigation measures, the Madison Area USBC stretches to some surrounding counties where measures aren’t as strict and bowling continues.

That includes Riviera Bowl in Sauk City in Sauk County, and it has been the site of a couple of recent big scores.

Tim Herbrand fired his fifth career 300 after games of 215 and 224 for a 739 series on Nov. 25 in the Riviera Classic League.

And Tom Curtis just missed a supernational with a 796 series.
