The pressure of winning a major title amid a deteriorating lane pattern was obvious in the final frames of the title match of the 2021 U.S. Open. In the end, Chris Via made one less errant shot and got one more break than Jakob Butturff as he survived the cauldron to finally win his first PBA Tour title in literally major fashion 214-213.
