In May 1983, future USBC Hall of Famer and 3-time PBA Tour champion Bill Spigner won a PBA Regional at Prairie Lanes in Sun Prairie, a 32-lane center owned by Bob and Pat Bussan. When Bill retired from the PBA Tour a few years later, he and wife Barb built Hawthorn Lanes, a beautiful 40-lane center in the north Chicago suburb of Vernon Hills that became one of the premier centers in the country, hosting everything from PBA Tour stops to World Team Challenge events.  Their sons Robby and...
