The United States Bowling Congress and Woodland Bowl announced in this news release Thursday that they and the PBA have taken action so that the field for next week’s USBC Masters can be expanded from 384 to 420 bowlers. The original plans were for the paddock to take up six of the famed Indianapolis center’s 70 lanes — it went from 80 to 70 lanes in a remodeling — and with four on a pair and three squads that created a maximum field of 384 at 128 per squad.
