Because there was no high school bowling, no scholarship tournaments and no Junior Gold, I went into adult competition about a week before I turned 16 in July 1978. But I had to wait until I turned 18 before I could bowl in the organization I most wanted to compete in: the Wisconsin Non-Pro Bowlers Alliance.
