Lindsay Boomershine cooled off some but still cruised to the qualifying lead of the 2017 USBC Queens, the United States Bowling Congress reported.
Boomershine, who became a mom earlier this year and is coming off a knee injury, rolled games of 196, 258, 219, 244 and 177 for a 1,094 total in Saturday’s third round at the Raising Cane’s River Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
That gave the 31-year-old right-hander and Storm staffer a 15-game total of 3,440, a 229.33 average....
