The third annual Bowl for the Cure event benefiting the Madison affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is set for Saturday, March 10 at Dream Lanes.
Bowl for the Cure is a year-round fundraising and breast cancer awareness initiative sponsored by the United States Bowling Congress in partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the well known foundation that has raised more than $1 billion for the fight against breast cancer.
The event is open to all, including non-bowlers.
"The only requirement is that you come with an open mind and to have fun!" Madison Bowling Association director and fundraiser coordinator John Anderson said in an email.
Pizza and soda will be provided during the 3-game 9-pin tap event that starts at 11:45 a.m., with registration at 11 a.m. The entry fee is $25 in advance, $30 on March 10.
Anderson said there will be raffle prizes for people to win and commemorative merchandise for all participants thanks to SVA Certified Public Accountants, Brothers Main, 1st Wisconsin Wealth Management LLC, the MBA and Madison Women’s Bowling Association.
