The 11th Frame: Intercollegiate Team Championships down to 24 teams, with 8 unbeaten

After one day of the 2012 United States Bowling Congress Intercollegiate Team Championships, 12 men’s and 12 women’s teams remain, with four of each unbeaten in the double-elimination brackets, USBC reported.

The unbeatens are Wichita State, Robert Morris-Illinois, Webber International and Lindenwood for the men and Webber International, McKendree, Lindenwood and Midland for the women, according to this USBC news release.

Thursday started with 16 men’s and 16 women’s teams who competed in qualifying to determine seeding then match play.

USBC webcasts of Thursday’s competition are archived here and here on BowlTV.

The surviving teams compete Friday until just two men’s and two women’s team remain. The competition involving those finalists will be taped for airing next month on CBS Sports Network.

Friday’s action again will be webcast live at BowlTV.
