Mike Shady, one of Bowlers Journal International's top 100 coaches for several years, has scheduled one of his highly regarded bowling instructional camps for the Green Bay area this summer.

The PBA Tour and USBC champion's "Peak Performance Bowling" camp will be July 28 at Ashwaubenon Lanes on Saturday, July 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Dr. Jason Willow again will be a special guest focusing on the mental game. And retired PBA Tour star Marc McDowell of Monona again will join Shady as a special guest coach.

The PPB camp is limited to 12 bowlers and a 175 minimum average is required.

In addition to the mental game, topics include a complete physical game analysis with video, lane play theory with a live lane transition experience, ball dynamics, ball surface management, and strategies for tournament preparation.

The $150 fee also includes a training manual and on-lane video analysis with a CD to take home.

Mike did a video game analysis with me and as a teammate I've obviously interacted with him on a deep bowling level over the years, and I can't endorse him enough.

And I've heard similar things from others who have gone through Shady's PPB camps and personal lessons at Ten Pin Alley in Fitchburg in recent years.

Shady's press release on the event states that "One of the greatest feelings in bowling is when you achieve that perfect shot (balance, release, ball motion, confidence, etc.) and the effortlessness that accompanies it. Peak Performance Bowling (PPB) and its instructors are committed to helping bowlers attain that feeling."

Registration is at PPB's website or by emailing Mike at coachshady@gmail.com.

Ebonite International Inc. is the official bowling ball manufacturer of Peak Performance Bowling.
