Kelly Kulick averaged better than 242 Sunday to grab the lead as the field was cut to 48 bowlers for match play in the 2012 United States Bowling Congress Queens.
According to full results after the third round posted here by USBC, Kulick rolled games of 279, 232, 208, 258 and 234 for a 1,211 block in the third round and 3,453 15-game total.
Liz Johnson was second at 3,343, Anita Manns third at 3,323 and Stefanie Nation fourth at 1,104.
The top 16 seeds receive first round byes in the double elimination match play bracket, which is posted here.
With defending champion Missy Parkin qualifying fifth at 3,301, the 16th spot went to Katherine Lanehart at 3,198, while 48th went to Melissa Brownie at 3,000, a 200 average.

Major champions Lynda Barnes and Tammy Turner withdrew with injuries during the third round.
