Defending champion Missy Parkin took a couple of big steps Monday toward successfully defending her title at the United States Bowling Congress Queens.
Parkin, who qualified as the fifth seed and received a first round buy, won both of her matches Sunday at AMF Euless (Texas) Lanes and is one of eight undefeated players heading into Tuesday.
“Everything leading up to this tournament, all the tournaments I have been bowling in order to prepare, have got my game really sharp,” Parkin said in this USBC news release. “I’m very happy with the way I’m throwing the ball and my confidence is high, which always helps.”
The other undefeated players are Lisa Noor; Katherine Lanehart; Josie Earnest; Stefanie Nation; Olivia Sandham; Diandra Asbaty; and USBC Hall of Famer Carolyn Dorin-Ballard, who won the 2001 Queens.
