The 11th Frame: A salute to the ‘BFI’

I got a great note last week about the late Kurt “BFI” Davids from Bill Kreitzman.

My good buddy, who ran pro shops in Madison and Green Bay, died suddenly in August 2010. Here is the blog I wrote after his hugely attended funeral.

Kreitzman said in an email that when his wife was working the Women’s State Tournament (which is in Madison this year) a couple of weekends ago she talked with a group of women from Green Bay and found out they knew Kurt. One turned out be his girlfriend, Michelle Bartoletti.

“They proceeded to show my wife a small urn of Kurt’s ashes,” Krfeitzman said. “They said he goes with them when they bowl.”

As I wrote back in 2010: R.I.P. my good friend. You may be gone but you will never be forgotten.
