The 11th Frame: Beres/Boresch top Eoff/Webb for PBA Regional Doubles title

Dave Beres of Waukesha and Lennie Boresch Jr. of Kenosha defeated Derek Eoff of Madison and Hall of Famer Wayne Webb of Columbus, Ohio, in the title match to win the PBA Midwest Region Miller Lite Regular/Senior Doubles sponsored by Barry Bernstein Allstate in Johnsburg, Ill., over the weekend.

Beres rolled 213 and Boresch 246 for 449 to Eoff’s 266 and Webb’s 173 for 439, according to reports being posted on Facebook Sunday afternoon.

The win gave Beres four PBA Regional titles and Boresch 26, PBA reported.

It was the third straight week Eoff has finished second after joining the PBA. In the prior two singles tournaments, he lost title matches to Hall of Famer Pete Weber and future Hall of Famer Dale Traber.

In the semifinal, Beres (211) and Boresch (197) defeated Weber (205) and Hall of Famer Tom Baker (182) 408-387.

The tournament was contested on the 44-foot Senior Pattern 2.

Twenty-two teams competed and six made the cut to match play with seven cashing. Sixth was 3,443 for 16 games (eight by each player) and 3,417 was seventh.
