The Madison Area Scratch Tour has finalized its 2012-13 schedule.

The tour again will feature a mix of lane patterns from house shots to USBC White and Blue patterns to the 2013 USBC Open Championships shot.
That Open Championships shot will be used at Ten Pin Alley and the Badger Pro Shop Year End Championship at Bowl-A-Vard Lanes.
The Spartan Bowl and Wildcat Lanes events (the ones where SINGLES is all caps on the schedule below) will feature a new survivor finals format:
In tournaments with 49 or more entrants, the top sixteen qualifiers will advance to the survivor segment of the tournament. After a single game, the field is cut to the top 50% of qualifiers using the highest scores from that game only. This format continues until a winner survives.
In tournaments of 39 to 48 entrants, the top 12 qualifiers will advance to the survivor segment of the tournament. In the first survivor round, the high four qualifiers will receive a bye for the first round only. After a single game, the field is cut to the top 50% of qualifiers using the highest scores from that game only. This format continues until a winner survives.
In tournaments of 38 or less entrants, the top eight qualifiers will advance to the survivor segment of the tournament. After a single game, the field is cut to the top 50% of qualifiers using the highest scores from that game only. This format continues until a winner survives.
Lane assignments: The tournament director will select lane blocks for each round of the survivor segment as well as any roll offs. The lane selection will be made by the higher qualifier from the block of lanes assigned for that round - with the highest qualifier remaining in the round selecting first, the second highest qualifier selecting next, etc. Surviving bowlers may not select consecutive games on the same pair of lanes.
