The Madison Bowling Association has announced sites and sponsors for the next two seasons of the City Tournament and MBA Masters and the Senior City Tournament and Senior Masters, as well as dates for this season.
MBA manager Bill Dennis made the announcements here on bowlweb.com.
The 2012-13 City Tournament will run weekends in January and the MBA Masters will be Feb. 2, its traditional day before the Super Bowl date. Bowl-A-Vard Lanes will be the host.
The 2012-13 Senior City Tournament will be Nov. 3-4 and Nov. 10-11 and the Senior Masters will be Nov. 17. Viking Lanes in Stoughton will be the host.
The 2013-14 dates have not been set yet, but expect them to follow the traditional dates, Dennis said.
In 2013-14, the City Tournament and MBA Masters will be Badger Bowl, while the Senior City Tournament and Senior Masters will be at Schwoegler’s Entertainment Center.
One of the great things about bowling in Madison is the support sponsors provide.
Dennis said Bowl-A-Vard has committed $1,000 to the City Tournament and Masters, and $300 to the Senior City Tournament and Senior Masters.
Rob Bailey’s Pro Shop and Lanes also is also renewing its major sponsorship of $800 to the City Tournament, and will serve as the official ball supplier for the ball raffle.
Pizza Pit is renewing its $500 sponsorship, splitting between the City and Senior City tournaments, thanks to Robin Goldberg.
And On the Spot Detailing returns as a $300 sponsor for the Senior City Tournament, courtesy of owner Tom Schwartz.
