Theresa Frosch rolled a 295 game in a 755 series, Gabe Callies slammed an 803 and five bowlers — Bill Borchers, Eric Nelson, Dan Ripp, Matt Wynhoff and Jan Thysse — fired perfect games to highlight Madison area bowling on Wednesday.
Frosch, who rolled her big game and set in the Schwoegler's Happy Hour Rollers League, now has six series of 700 or better this season, two behind Madison area women's leader Lauren Sammel. Frosch's big series include a Madison record 838 and an 803.
Callies' 803, which featured a 288 game, came in the Prairie Lanes Men's Rec League.
Borchers' second perfect game this season came in a 768 series in the Bowl-A-Vard Lanes Mixed Nuts League.
Nelson's 15th career 300 came in a 743 in the Village Lanes Monona Businessmen's League.
Ripp's 29th career 300 and second this season came in a 737 in the Viking Lanes Classic League.
Wynhoff's 15th career 300 came in a 671 in the Bowl-A-Vard Lake City League.
Thysse's first career 300 came in a 646 in the Dream Lanes MARBA League.
Tom Stoebig fell a pin shy of perfection with his 299 coming in a night in which he earlier rolled a 116 game en route to a 628 in the Dream MARBA.
The next two highest women's series on Wednesday were 676 by Teresa Cothrine and 665 by Deb Wittwer, both in the Schwoegler's Ladies Classic League.
Randy Bellisle recorded the second-highest series on Wednesday with a 781 in the Viking Classic.
John Whitcomb rolled a 760 in the Bowl-A-Vard Lake City and Mike Buchanan fired a 759 in the Spartan Bowl Classic League.
