Fire alarms that cleared the Oncenter late Thursday night capped a wild and wacky couple of days at the 2018 United States Bowling Congress Open Championships. Tom Hess, the 2011 USBC Masters champion, was the headliner, firing a perfect game during team on Wednesday and coming within a solid 9-pin in his final frame of singles from possibly taking the all-events lead from Kurt Pilon on Thursday.
