After competing in the 2018 United States Bowling Congress Open Championships team event on Thursday, there were several easy conclusions to make. Not the least of which is that the lane pattern is incredibly difficult at the start, as so many have reported: It is no surprise that so far there has been just one score of 1,100 or better in the first game so far: 1,110 by Strikers Paradise 5 of Defiance, Virginia, which finished with just 3,041.
