The 11th Frame: 2 weeks away, PTQ for 2019 U.S. Open not yet necessary

According to what is posted at BOWL.com, the roster of “direct entry” qualifiers for the 2019 U.S. Open totals 94 players, meaning there are 50 spots available in the PTQ on Oct. 23 at Victory Lanes in Charlotte, N.C.   As of Tuesday, the PTQ roster is just 46 players, meaning if the U.S. Open were starting this week, the field will not be full.
