Gary Faulkner totaled 1,768 for eight games to lead Wednesday’s PTQ for the 2019 U.S. Open at Victory Lanes in Mooresville, N.C.
From the field of 66 players, 53 advanced to complete the field for the U.S. Open, which starts Friday and ends next Wednesday night with the live stepladder finals on CBS Sports Network.
Faulkner, a left-hander who won the 2015 PBA World Championship, fired games of 244, 223, 259, 177, 193, 213, 233 and 226 to easily outdistance the 1,724 of runner-up...
