In order to take the lead at the 2024 Petersen Classic, Jeff Johnson had to survive a variety of efforts to take him off his game that harken back to the glory days of the old Pete at 35th and Archer. At times the hijinks have gone beyond reasonable, including when USBC Hall of Famer Dale Traber shot 160 in his final game when 168 would have moved him past Johnson's 1,601.
