Unreported average results in State Tournament disqualification, but checks won’t be held up, La Porte says

An unreported average has resulted in a disqualification for the 2012 State Tournament, but checks won’t be held up, according to Wisconsin State Bowling Association manager Phil La Porte. "A person with a 199 average bowled on April 21 but his average was 219 at time of bowling," La Porte said in an email. "The average was for 96 games. So we did DQ him." The bowler can appeal but so far WSBA has not heard anything, La Porte said. "I am not letting it hold up the checks," he said....
