Eric Fritton ran the stepladder to win the third annual King Classic Ritchie Buss Memorial Bowling Tournament Sunday at 4 Seasons Bowl in Freeport, Ill.
Forty-eight bowlers competed in the tournament, which was contested on the Kegel Middle of the Road pattern.
After the eight games of qualifying, Gail Myers Jr. of Monroe was first at 1,778. followed by Jerry Marrs at 1,749, Jesse Buss 1,729, Fritton 1,714 and Aaron Buss 1,700.
But when it came to the stepladder, the flame throwing lefty from the Milwaukee could not be defeated firing it up the gutter, according to reports I received.
Fritton defeated Aaron Buss 245-190, Jesse Buss 266-215, Marrs 225-217 and Myers 226-184.
First was $555, Second $400, third $300, fourth $200 and fifth $150.
My preview on the tournament is here.
