Brian Valenta won his first PBA title in historic fashion over the weekend, using a hard rubber Brunswick BLACK BEAUTY to win the PBA Laraway Lanes Midwest/Central Open in New Lenox, Ill. I posted on Facebook and Twitter asking for the last time someone won a PBA title with a rubber ball. Paul Wolf reported that Derek Banks won with a Brunswick LT-48 in the mid-1980s but that doesn’t really count because an LT-48 hooks much more than a Black Beauty.
