Reno City Council OKs boost in per-bowler fee paid to USBC, paper reports
The Reno City Council voted unanimously in a special meeting Wednesday to approve raising the per-bowler fee the Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority pays the United States Bowling Congress from $20 to $30 for the 2016 Open Championships, the Reno Gazette-Journal reported in this story. The amendment to the RSCVA's long-term contract with the USBC needed the council's approval since the city owns the National Bowling Stadium downtown where USBC tournaments are held. For background...
