Some international tournaments allow women 8 pins of handicap per game when they compete with men, although they are allowed to turn down the pins. That is significant because in the international tournaments where a PBA Tour title is awarded if the event is won by a PBA member, taking the handicap makes the player ineligible for a PBA Tour title.
