US wins 3 of 5 golds in mixed doubles at Tournament of the Americas

U.S. bowlers won three of five gold medals in mixed doubles Thursday at the 53rd Lee Evans Tournament of the Americas in Sunrise, Florida, the United States Bowling Congress reported in this news release. The format for the mixed doubles event was six games with combined total pins determining medalists. Colombia’s Maria Tello and Edwar Rey totaled 2,494 total to edge out Team USA's Kayla Johnson and Chris Colella at 2,485 and Erin McCarthy and AJ Chapman with 2,479 for the adult...
