Dave Traber moved into second with 1,646 at the Petersen Classic on Monday, falling just shy of the leading 1,649 shot by Joe Knodle of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. Competing on Lennie Boresch Jr.’s squad, Traber started with 213 on lanes 5-6, then added 238, 185, 178, 215, 203, 192 and 223. The 4-time PBA Tour Champion fired the last four strikes in his final game on 3-4 to get past second-place Chad Gable’s 1,641.
