United States Bowling Congress Executive Director Chad Murphy said Tuesday that the lane patterns for the 2017 USBC Open Championships met the organization’s goals and that “I wouldn’t see any reason to change course” from hidden patterns next year. USBC this year hid the patterns for the first time in years — essentially since computerized patterns became a topic of wide interest earlier this century — and released them on Tuesday afternoon....
