Delivering a reminder of how incrediblly good the best are, Norm Duke averaged 261 to lead Tuesday’s first round of qualifying at the PBA50 South Shore Open presented by DV8 at Olympia Lanes in Hammond, Indiana. The Hall of Famer fired games of 237, 279, 279, 246, 265, 268, 289 and 225 on the PBA50 Viper pattern for a 2,088 total, just 72 pins short of the 8-game PBA50 record of 2,160 set by Ron Mohr in the 2010 Senior Columbus (Ohio) Open. “When 225 is your bad game you...
