You could hardly find a more improbable story than father and son Jimmy and Brandyn Cox grabbing the doubles lead at the 2014 United States Bowling Congress Open Championships. Brandyn was a first-time Open Championships competitor and that alone usually is enough to eliminate a competitor from Eagle contention.
