Leaving a 10-pin on her final shot, Brittany Pollentier came within a pin of a coveted 800 series as she fired a Madison Area Bowling Association women's season-high 799 to lead Madison area bowling over the weekend. Pollentier chained games of 243, 267 and 289 in the Sport Bowl Friends League for her MABA women's season-high seventh 700 series. Becky James had the prior high with 778 at Ten Pin Alley on Nov. 7.
