Spicing up the 11thFrame YouTube channel has begun

Last summer, I detailed in this story how we had created an 11thFrame YouTube channel and posted the video of our 11thFrame.com group’s competition at the 2017 United States Bowling Congress Open Championships.

I said then that I’ve recorded every ABC Tournament and USBC Open Championships I’ve competed in since 1986, the year recording was first offered, and, in a twist of good fortune, the year I won my first eagle: team event with John Wittkowske and Bret Faulkner, currently of our 11thFrame.com 2 team, and Jeff Henry and John Peterson.

Of course, that was in the days of VCRs, but my friend and sometimes doubles partner Chris Pounders a few years ago transferred all my old VHS tapes and even some really old Beta tapes to DVDs.

Late last summer I dropped off a big box of those DVDs to my tech guy Brian Burkhardt and he has been uploading them.

The first of the batch to get a voiceover intro from me and be posted is the 2008 Wisconsin Championship Doubles, produced by Phil Brylow, who gave permission for me to upload it.

Steve Richter and I made it to the championship match, but I won’t give away who won. You can watch here.

Next to come will be the more than a dozen shows I made on the old Bowling With the Champs in Milwaukee, which I won in 1984-85. I’m missing one show from the four years — my loss to eventual champion Dennis Juecher in my first season on the show in 1983-84.
