Kelly Kulick to get 2017 World Games singles gold medal after German Laura Beuthner tests positive for banned substance

Germany’s Laura Beuthner has been stripped of the singles gold medal for the 2017 World Games after testing for positive for a banned substance, the International World Games Association reported June 28 in this post on its website.
IWGA said the prohibited substance was hydrochlorothiazide, a drug taken to treat high blood pressure that is a diuretic considered to be a masking agent for performance-enhancing drugs by the World Anti-Doping Agency. Here is WADA’s list of prohibited...
