PBA’s definition of title drops Pete Weber from 100 to 99 titles, complicates historical record-keeping

Rightly or wrongly, most people depend on the PBA for historical records about men’s professional bowling. Unfortunately, those records don’t necessarily paint an accurate picture.
One instance you really can’t blame PBA for is career major titles. As I detailed most recently in this story, PBA rightly tracks PBA major titles, with Pete Weber and Earl Anthony tied for the lead at 10, one more than Jason Belmonte.
