After a long career as a journeyman PBA touring pro highlighted by occasional spectacular performances in winning three PBA Tour and 23 PBA Regional titles, Eugene McCune retired at the end of 2016 and dropped his PBA membership. He runs a pro shop and works in security at an Indiana casino, giving him little time to bowl, he told me during the tournament.
