Kyle Mayberry made a stirring run at the Petersen Classic lead before settling into a tie for second on Saturday at Brunswick Zone River Grove in River Grove, Illinois. Jim Welch, Bowlero director of competitive bowling, said the lefty from Mechanicsville, Ohio, was at 1,225 after six games, well on pace to pass leader Luke Voaklander’s 1,582, which I wrote up in this story.
