In what could be considered a bowling equivalent of Villanova beating Georgetown for the 1985 NCAA basketball title, Italy swept top seed Team USA 189-169 and 210-166 in Tuesday’s  gold medal match of the team event of the 2018 World Men’s Championships at the South China Athletic Association Bowling Centre in Hong Kong.
