The points system used for the Team USA Trials makes it a competition that can’t be won on the first day, but certainly can be lost. The standings are determined by points based on finishing position in each of the five qualifying rounds: first gets one point, second two points, and so on. The lowest point total after five rounds wins. The only prize money is $500, $350, $200 and $100 for the top four men and top four women each day.  With 175 men and 152 women competing, a...
