It’s a Catch 22 of sorts for those who do lanes for the PBA Tour: make them too flat and right-handers can blow a hole in the pattern, jump deep inside and run the lefties over, or put enough oil in the middle and shape the pattern in an attempt to keep the right-handers to the right and the scores soar and lefties often dominate righties.
