Short lane patterns like the Wolf 32 often are at their toughest when fresh, with balls coming out of the oil into many feet of dry, often creating a tough reaction to control. Then the lanes transition into what often is ball reaction conducive to big scores. Kris Prather barely averaged 200 as he opened the first round of the 2-pattern PBA Lubbock Sports Open on Wolf with 188 and 215 at South Plains Lanes on Wednesday, but he then found the range and fired games of 258, 234, 290, 237...
