Norm Duke jumped back into the lead as qualifying ended Thursday at the PBA50 National Championship presented by Spanish Springs Lanes and Radical lead Duke was tied with Walter Ray Williams Jr. after Tuesday’s first 6-game round of qualifying, and both were passed by 72-year-old Johnny Petraglia in Wednesday’s second round, before Duke slammed 1,474 on games of 242, 225, 267, 235, 238 and 267 in Thursday’s third round to reclaim the lead.
