Belmonte now leads Butturff 4-2 in titles and 2-1 in majors, while also being 2-0 against Butturff in title matches. At this point, Butturff likely will need to win two more titles and the U.S. Open and have Belmonte not win again this year to keep a fifth Player of the Year honor out of Belmonte’s hands.
