The 16th annual New Mexico Open is set for Aug. 16-18, with a $12,500 first prize based on 192 entries and a new prize of a new car from local car dealership Pitre Buick GMC Kia for a perfect game in the title match.
The highest score in the championship round in the tournament's 15 years is a 285 by Craig Nidiffer, tournament director Steve Mackie said, noting that the tournament always features challenging conditions.
