Francois Lavoie came into Sunday’s third round of qualifying at the 2019 U.S. Open with a 122-pin lead and ended with a 92-pin lead as the 144-player field was cut to the top 36 for Monday’s cashers round. Lavoie rolled games of 249, 203, 194, 224, 175, 221, 185 and 216 for 1,667 in the third round and a 24-game total of 5,246 (218.58 average).
