Tom Hess became the first three-time champion of the Greater Iowa Bowling Association tournament long known as the Fusion Realtors Open and now the Ebonite Winter Classic by striking in the 10th frame to beat Andrew Anderson 211-202 in the title match Sunday at Cadillac Lanes in Waterloo, Iowa. The 199-player field bowled seven games of qualifying on Saturday and the top 64 advanced to a 6-game semifinal round at 9 a.m. on Sunday, with pins carrying over.
