On Sunday, Anthony Simonsen suffered a tough loss as top seed of the 2020 U.S. Open, falling 226-201 to Jason Belmonte, with a painful solid 10-pin in the ninth keeping Simonsen from controlling his own fate heading into the 10th frame.
If there was any lingering effect of that loss, Simonsen didn’t show it on Tuesday as he led qualifying in the 2020 Go Bowling PBA Indianapolis Open with 3,341 for 14 games (238.64 average) at Royal Pin Woodland.
