I first wrote about Don Carter holding the true historical record of 11 major titles in bowling in this story after Pete Weber won the 2013 PBA Tournament of Champions for his 10th major title. The only mention of Jason Belmonte in that story was as the loser of the title match to Weber 224-179, putting Weber in a tie for the most PBA major titles with Earl Anthony.
