I’m not sure what is the most amazing thing about the USBC record 1,457 game Shelter Insurance blasted in the Tri-Challenge League at Concord Bowl in St. Louis on Friday night. That the quintet of Gregg Getzlow, Ron Testa, Tom Grimm, Tom Shucart, and Mark Hood had only one non-strike in the first nine frames — a solid 10-pin by Grimm — and only three overall?
